The Environment Department accorded special importance to the afforestation projects in order to preserve the environment .
In this context , the agronomist Marwa Abbas , the garden’s department officer said : ” we had finished a new study for the general arboretum , after that we had done the work according to the new design where the length of the arboretum is 150 m and its width is 25 m and we focused on increasing and diversifying the plants and we have 1015 different kinds of trees.
About the status of the job she added : ” in this arboretum there are 4 workers 3 of them are women and they share the job between them .
